Using SNAC for Research and Reference (July 16, 2025)
Watch time: 1 h 17 m | Difficulty: Easy
This video provides an introduction to the SNAC platform with some important background information, then moves into basic and advanced search strategies in SNAC. Meant for beginners and those who have not encountered SNAC before, this recording should be easily comprehensible by those with a high school education or better (no archival experience necessary!).
SNAC Create and Edit (March 5-6, 2025)
Watch time: 3 h 18 m | Difficulty: Intermediate
The embedded video below is all 6 modules of our SNACSchool Create and Edit class (it starts with the video above). This video gets further into the weeds of archives, metadata and linked data so some experience or understanding of those topics is helpful before attending this class (we recommend starting with the video above!). If you have taken the class live on a scheduled date in the past, you can follow along with this resource or refresh your memory. If you have not taken the live class, but are interested in editing SNAC records, please email us at snac.cooperative@gmail.com so we can get started!
Use links below for individual videos of each module.
