The ESWG recommends the assigning Subject headings in a SNAC CPF record follow the FAST (Faceted Application of Subject Terminology) approach developed by the Library of Congress. We recommend this approach for four reasons:
- Is simple to apply
- Aids in both faceted searching and improved navigation for users
- Compatible with Library of Congress subject headings
- More usable for Linked Data projects
